Web hosting provider Web Werks has achieved a key certification for it’s IBM-built Tier 4 data center in Mumbai, India. Web Werks is headquartered in Mumbai and caters to around 5,000 customers globally.

The company was established in 1996 and operates five Tier III and Tier IV data centers, with facilities in the United States.

PCI DSS (v3.1), or more formally, the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), is an international standard for companies that manage credit cards and collect information for Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and JCB payments.

Web Werks’ CEO, Nikhil Rathi explained :

Seeing BFSI clients struggle with PCI compliance adherence made us realize a real market problem that needed fixing.

With Web Werks as the hosting provider, our clients will be able to leverage our PCI DSS compliance and easily get PCI compliant themselves. This adds yet another layer of security to the customers’ data.
