Sunesys today announced the deployment of a diverse Dark Fiber (SunDF) network solution in QTS Realty Trust’s Chicago data center.
This launch will help support QTS’ entrance into Chicago by enabling a dedicated, dark fiber ring connecting their new Chicago data center to other locations, thereby enabling secure, private & diverse paths to the area.
QTS operates an interconnected global platform delivering a hybrid suite of cloud computing and infrastructure services.
Alan Kat, Vice President of Sunesys said :
QTS offers a national platform of integrated IT solutions ranging from wholesale to complex hybrid cloud solutions for enterprise and government customers.
With the exponentially increasing needs of these customers for high-bandwidth WAN solutions and private, secure connectivity, we are pleased to be one of the first network providers for one of Chicago’s newest and largest data centers.
Dan Bennewitz, COO, QTS added :
Sunesys is a very important network provider as QTS enters the Chicago market with previously unseen levels of capacity and connectivity, particularly in the downtown area.
Our new data center is prepared to deliver for both Sunesys and QTS customers as demand for connectivity and bandwidth continues to increase across the Chicagoland market.
