Scale Computing, a storage, server and virtualization solution provider for midsized companies, today launched a Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) offering called ScaleCare Remote Recovery Service, that claims to provide offsite protection for businesses as per their datacenter needs. This service is the final layer of protection from Scale Computing and is built up on the HC3 Virtualization Platform.
The company claims to provide all the services and support that businesses need, without having to manage and pay for a private remote disaster recovery site. It claims to have been built on snapshot technology and allows users to customize their replication schedules to maximize protection, retention and bandwidth efficiency.
Jeff Ready, CEO and co-founder of Scale Computing says :
Remote data protection is the best course of action organizations can take to alleviate the proverbial placing of all of their eggs in one basket, but hosting a site for disaster recovery purposes is often not something mid range companies are prepared to handle themselves.
With remote, continuous replication and fail over features already baked into the HC3 Virtualization Platform, launching the ScaleCare Remote Recovery Service is an ideal way for us to ensure our customers have the remote disaster recovery they need without the costs and headaches of doing it themselves.
