After acquiring ViaWest in June 2017, Peak 10 were operating with a rather difficult name. They went by Peak10 + ViaWest which has now been rechristened as ‘Flexential’, keeping simplicity and business offerings in mind. With this change of name, Flexential will now brand themselves with a unique offering in the data center market by leveraging two key aspects- flexibility and potential, something that is reflected through the name itself.
Flexential say that their potential to accommodate cloud services for clients worldwide has grown by leaps and bounds since they have expanded into international markets with 41 data centers across 21 countries. They further added that their clientele will experience the ‘Flexential’ philosophy which is all about the best and the latest infrastructure and technology.
Explaining this, Chris Downie, CEO of Flexential, said:
The combination of Peak 10 and ViaWest gave us a new, unique position in the marketplace, and we felt it important to create a new brand to reflect that position. As Flexential, our two companies come together to stand for something unique in the world of IT transformation: the human touch. We believe in the power of people in a technical world, and strongly feel that the best infrastructure solutions are about people.
Before they were Flexential, Peak 10 + ViaWest had expanded their data center in Oregon region of U.S to enable hybrid solutions for customers. It would be interesting to witness how Flexential live up to their name while expanding their global footprint.
