Security software giants McAfee have completed the acquisition of cloud security startup SkyHigh. The takeover, which was announced earlier, will broaden McAfee’s portfolio and enable their customers with visibility into workloads, networks, and data along with advanced threat and data protection.
According to McAfee, this acquisition has allowed them to get a foot in the door of Skyhigh’s CASB (Cloud Access Security Broker) segment. They further added that this deal will allow them to identify and control access to sensitive information that is already in, moving to or originating in the cloud.
Industry experts say that customers facing data sensitivity issues can now use the mission-critical cybersecurity environment that this partnership aims to provide. Looking forward to the solution, Ivaylo Uzunov, Manager of Information Security at Carlson Wagonlit Travel and customer of McAfee said:
The integration of their security offerings will provide a holistic data visibility and control for cloud applications while preserving policy enforcement and compliance.
