Data center company IPI Data Center Partners have acquired three Infomart data centers in a bid to extend their global footprint. With this acquisition, IPI Data Centers will be serving businesses belonging to different industries and segments.
According to IPI, the acquisition of three data centers will add more than 650,000 sq.feet of assets to their data center prowess. They also added that these data centers, laden with the state-of-the-art facilities, will attract global entities from various streams.
IPI Data Center Partners by ASB Real Estate Investments had earlier announced that they intend to increase investments in data centers through debt securities, to strengthen their portfolio. They also said that they will be concentrating on urban markets in the U.S. focusing on all kinds of industries.
Speaking about their intentions to invest, Robert Bellinger, President and CEO at ASB said:
Our data centre investments proved extremely timely and profitable for our fund clients.
IPI claim that their ambitious plans to acquire a large share of the global data center market will be realised with Infomart’s large-scale data centers. They further added that since both companies saw synergies, the acquisition of three data centers became much easier.
The terms of the acquisition were undisclosed by both parties.
