Edge intelligence software provider FogHorn have inked a partnership deal with AI and IoT facilitator Uptake to deliver IoT solutions for business industries. With this alliance, FogHorn aims to integrate their edge analytics and machine learning platform FogHorn with Uptake’s AI and IoT platform to accelerate time-to-value for customers.
According to FogHorn, AI, when merged with IoT, unlocks complex data to provide actionable insights. They say that business industries leverage this data and predictive analytics to maintain equipment types, tasks and failures.
By partnering with Uptake, FogHorn believe that they will allow customers to reduce their time-to-value by using immediate sensor readings as well as reporting in order to generate meaningful insights. They also claim that both companies can together compete in the market to provide new applications for advanced monitoring and diagnostics with machine performance optimization.
Speaking about the alliance, Sastry Malladi, CTO at FogHorn, commented:
Uptake’s cloud-based industrial AI and IoT platform has cracked the code of turning complex data into real-world outcomes, empowering people, machines and businesses to make more informed decisions.
By working together, we can combine this critical competency with our edge-based advanced analytics and machine learning, and extend it to the on-premises industrial environment to enable a new class of applications for advanced monitoring and diagnostics, machine performance optimization, proactive maintenance and operational intelligence use cases.
Explaining the benefits provided by integrating FogHorn’s Lightning platform with Uptake’s AI and IoT platform, the edge IoT solutions provider said that the alliance will:
- Extend Uptake’s machine learning and AI models to the edge, to allow industrial businesses to work faster,
- Perform closed-loop edge-to-cloud machine learning and AI, and;
- Provide a holistic view of the entire asset environment to make smarter and faster decisions.
Abhi Kunté, Vice President of Partnerships at Uptake, commented:
With this partnership, we’ll deliver more complete edge-to-cloud analytics solutions to our mutual customers across the industrial sector, enabling new solutions for asset performance management that empower users to quickly act on data-driven predictions and recommendations.
The result is outcomes that help businesses unlock new value across the enterprise through improved operational performance, including uptime, reliability and output.
In closing, the edge intelligence provider claimed that business industries have started increasingly relying on IoT applications especially after organizations have taken measures to secure these environments. With respect to this move, one can’t help but think of the recent cyber security alliance between Razorsecure and Osirium for IoT solutions.
