This week, Malaysian web hosting solutions provider Exabytes announced the acquisition of MYNIC authorized reseller HT Internet. MYNIC is the official Registry operator for the Malaysian .MY ccTLD.
Through the acquisition, Exabytes says that it will offer more comprehensive online solutions to its customers. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Exabytes is headquartered in Pulau Pinang, Malaysia and was established in 2001. The company claims to manage about 200,000 websites and offers services like public cloud hosting, private cloud hosting and web hosting services such as dedicated servers and VPS.
HT Internet is also headquartered in Pulau Pinang and was established in 2011. The company says that it manages over 5,000 domain names and offers website development services alongside hosting and domain name registration offerings.
Chan Kee Siak, CEO, Exabytes said:
Without a website, clients cannot advertise and market their products online.
We ventured into Digital Marketing services by offering Google Adwords Digital Advertising service 2 years ago. But there was still something missing in between – which is the ability to manage the website for the client. And this is where HT Internet acquisition fits in.
As a part of the deal, the HT Internet team will be fully absorbed by Exabytes Capital Group.
