As covered earlier, it was announced that new gTLD .ART was scheduled to launch at the end of 2016. This week, DotArt Registry announced that they will launch its sunrise period in early December.
The sunrise period for the domain extension will run from December 7, 2016 to February 7, 2017. According to the Registry’s website, .ART will enter general availability in May, 2017.

The Registry has also revealed a list on their site which features the early adopters of .ART. A few of the names included in the list are Guggenheim Museum, Tate, The Art Institute of Chicago, Centre Pompidou, Fondation Cartier, Hauser & Wirth, Institute of Contemporary Art Miami, LACMA, MAXXI, Solomon R. and Walker Art Center.
