Ooredoo, Colt partner to unveil business cloud connectivity services

Mobile facilitator Ooredoo have struck a strategic alliance with Colt to launch cloud connectivity services for businesses. With this alliance, both entities seek to provide enterprises with real-time, decision-making capabilities for cloud management and digital transformation along with backup and recovery orchestration.

Ooredoo say that the MENA (the Middle East and North African) market has witnessed a transition when it comes to IT services because of global expansion, amicable foreign-trade policies and adoption of cloud technology at a rapid scale. They believe that with internet and mobile penetration increasing year-on-year in the MENA market, businesses will need to modernize their IT workloads.

By partnering with Colt, Ooredoo claim that they will provide enterprises in the MENA market with real-time, decision-making tools that are used to optimize costs and recover data. They say that their new cloud connectivity platform will help enterprises to migrate their critical workloads from traditional architectures to hybrid models with ease.

In addition to these benefits, Colt say that the partnership will enhance enterprises with emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data analytics and Data Lakes. They further added that Ooredoo’s cloud services will support this platform with high bandwidth, cloud-integrated networks and more than 850 data centers.

Industry watchers opine that the cloud connectivity platform will unite MENA-based enterprises and serve as a platform where cloud management and digital transition will become easier. It will be interesting to see how these entities make the most of this deal, following Colt’s data center expansion in Japan.
