In a bid to shut down Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks before they inflict harm, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) provider Infinitely Virtual today announced at HostingCon Global that it will begin offering ZENEDGE for Networks featuring RapidBGP, effective immediately.

The product is a new model for real-time DDoS mitigation through the automatic analysis of DDoS alerts and deployment of routing commands to ensure that immediate action is taken when legitimate DDoS attacks are detected – all without any human intervention.

Adam Stern, CEO, Infinitely Virtual stated on the launch:

Given the rising threat of criminal enterprises subjecting businesses to ransom demands and the sheer frequency of DDoS incidents, we’ve upped the ante in terms of security and implemented this industry-leading DDoS attack protection for our customers, across the board. As the security environment changes, so has our response to that environment. ZENEDGE for Networks featuring RapidBGP provides scalable, hardened, and easily deployed DDoS protection, safeguarding client systems and networks from threats with an industry leading time-to-mitigate (TTM) of less than 60 seconds.

The company claims that the product two modes i.e. “Always-on” and “On-demand” allow ZENEDGE security to be customized to current needs. Both options seek to provide organizations with automatic mitigation in case of an attack. As the first point of entry, all incoming traffic is routed through the ZENEDGE infrastructure, to protect against malicious traffic from reaching the user’s network. Outbound traffic continues to route locally, minimizing performance impact on network traffic.
