IT giant Tech Mahindra have launched an open source AI platform GAiA by partnering with Acumos to focus on next-generation capabilities. With this launch, Tech Mahindra seek to deploy AI-driven services and cloud applications in a bid to solve business-critical problems.

According to Tech Mahindra, AI is the force that can unleash the potential of cloud applications and accelerate workloads securely. They say that the platform will not only support enterprises to adopt open source AI offerings but it will also help in implementing custom use cases, models and integration services.

By partnering with Acumos, Tech Mahindra believe that they will be able to leverage the former’s open source platform across multiple industry verticals. They say that organizations can accelerate their digital transformation by overhauling IT practices.

Manish Vyas, President, and the CEO at Network Services believes that democratising the knowledge in AI is the need of the hour and GAiA is a step in bringing this vision to fruition. By launching this platform, he claims that Tech Mahindra will be the change agent that drives AI-powered applications in various markets globally.

It will be interesting to see how Tech Mahindra make the most of this acquisition, following their partnership with Intel to build 5G Centres of Excellence.
