Cloud provider LayerStack have announced the expansion of their data center network in the Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) region. With this expansion, LayerStack seek to provide data center services to the emerging enterprises in Singapore and other Southeast Asian countries by focusing on speed and scalability.

According to LayerStack, enterprises in Southeast Asia have taken digital transformation seriously since it promises many advantages, right from security to performance. They say that since these enterprises build more and more applications on the cloud, supporting these apps becomes a mandate for service providers.

In order to meet the growing demand for server farm services in the APJ market, LayerStack say that they had to expand their current assets in Singapore. They say that with this expansion, LayerStack will be adding more facilities to their NTT, Cogent, Telstra and SGIX (Singapore Internet Exchange) centers.

The cloud provider says that since this network already serves a total of 3000 cities across 150 countries, leveraging this network to reach more destinations will be much easier. They claim that enterprises won’t be paying anything extra but will benefit from a flexible and large network that is also secure.

Speaking about the facility at Singapore, LayerStack claim that the center is well furnished with state-of-the-art technology. They also believe that the expansion will allow them to serve enterprises belonging to various industries and entice more clients from myriad fields.

Henceforth, LayerStack say that their clients can appreciate better system execution from any vast areas. This overhaul, they say, will enable the cloud provider to support the surge of high bandwidth applications like video conferencing, data recuperation, VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol), and so on.

In closing, LayerStack said that they have launched 4 data centers across 3 locations in Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan to serve its developing base of clients. It will be interesting to see how they go further with their APJ plan, following CrowStrike’s expansion in the same region early in Jan this year.
