Web hosting and billing automation platform WHMCS (Webhost Manager Complete Solutions) have entered into a partnership with web security solutions provider SiteLock to offer a wide range of cybersecurity offerings. As per the terms of the alliance, WHMCS will leverage SiteLock’s malware protection and remediation solutions such as SiteLock Find, SiteLock Fix, SiteLock Prevent and SiteLock 911.
WHMCS say that the frequency of cyber attacks has alerted all organizations, large and small, to the importance of online security. They further added that every website is, on an average, attacked 59 times a day – double the rate of the previous year.
Explaining this, Matt Pugh, CEO of WHMCS said:
As cyber threats continue to rise and make headlines, security has become a top priority for web hosting companies and their customers.
The alliance allows WHMCS to offer a cradle-to-grave approach when it comes to offering security solutions on their automated platform. Speaking about this, Pugh added:
Partnering with SiteLock enables us to expand our portfolio of MarketConnect cloud service offerings, and gives web hosts access to affordable, industry-leading website security solutions with all the automation and convenience the MarketConnect platform offers.
The alliance enables all the users of WHMS with a WAF (Web Application Firewall) which also includes a CDN (Content Delivery Network), claim SiteLock. They also say that this partnership was a result of a shared vision for business security and customer satisfaction.
Elated about this alliance, Tom Serani, Executive Vice President of Business Development for SiteLock, commented:
We are excited to partner with WHMCS and become their preferred provider of website security solutions. As the demand for cyber security continues to increase, our combined offerings provide a lot of synergy to web hosts and their customers.
In addition to delivering superior and proactive website protection, this partnership will create new revenue streams for WHMCS customers who can now deliver a more comprehensive solution to their end users.
