IT firm SailPoint have partnered with Rackspace to provide identity governance to cloud-native enterprise customers. As per the terms of the deal, SailPoint will leverage Rackspace’s cloud prowess to deliver access and identity management through AWS’ and Microsoft Azure’s cloud environments.
According to SailPoint, the IT environment of every organization is different from one another and providing tailor-made solutions is hence essential. They say that some organizations also prefer opting for managed cloud services so that they don’t have to maintain their IT environments in-house.
By partnering with Rackspace, SailPoint believe that enterprises and organizations will be able to choose an identity governance program only to host it in an environment of their choice. They claim that the availability of this program will be made on Azure as well as AWS environments to reach the larger enterprise market.
Speaking about this, Prashanth Chandrasekar, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Managed Public Clouds at Rackspace, commented:
There are many enterprises today that, understandably, lack the technical expertise and capacity to navigate the complexity of the cloud ecosystem, successfully migrate workloads to the cloud and operate cloud environments at scale.
The combined talent, skillset and domain expertise of SailPoint and Rackspace can help more companies get their identity governance programs off the ground by lifting the burden of migrating, managing and operating cloud workloads all on their own.
