IT service provider Lumos Data Centers (LDC) have launched their IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) solution in order to expand globally. With this acquisition, Lumos will provide private cloud, backup/storage and disaster recovery services to their customers to meet growing demand.
According to LDC, customers are looking for smarter and faster ways to secure business-critical workloads. They claim that current options in the market do not allow them to save as much on capital and operational expenditures.
In order to meet these demands and diversify their offerings for the market, Lumos Data Centers say that launching this IaaS solution was essential. They further added that with this launch, customers will be able to leverage on LDC’s large network of data centers.
Speaking about the launch in detail, Josh Wolff, Senior Vice President of Lumos Data Centers, commented:
Our customers are looking for ways to deliver services to their customers and employees in a faster, smarter, and more efficient way.
The IaaS platform gives our customers peace of mind, being built with a highly available fault tolerant architecture, while residing in our highly available and connected enterprise class data centers.
LDC claim that this solution is a perfect fit for those organizations having large compute, data storage and security requirements. Speaking about migrating to LDC’s data center services, Todd Alexander, Senior Technology and Infrastructure Manager with Sona Dermatology and MedSpa, commented:
We approached LDC about refreshing our aging IaaS environment and to look at ways to improve costs and stability with our IT infrastructure.
They spared no expense, bringing in a highly skilled set of engineers to plan the migration and design then build out an environment we can grow with for years to come.
