Bautzen-based BIT.Group GmbH and itelligence AG have announced the 100% acquisition of BIT.Group GmbH by itelligence AG. With this acquisition, itelligence says it is cementing its position as one of the leading IT service providers in Germany with a strong focus on cloud and SAP managed services.

BIT.Group, established in 2004, stands out as a service provider for national and international customers. The multi-certified SAP partner has about 380 employees, and offers extensive SAP services – focusing on SAP application management, technology services, application lifecycle management and cloud services.
Norbert Rotter, CFO of itelligence AG, said:
“BIT.Group is a strategic cornerstone for expanding our global SAP cloud and managed services. Together with BIT itelligence now has more than 550 employees in Bautzen and Dresden, and we plan to expand both locations further, as well as – prospectively – moving into new, larger office premises in Dresden.”
In Bautzen, itelligence already runs several data centers, an additional office building is about to be opened, and a further data center is currently being constructed. itelligence also plans to expand the Dresden location and recruit additional staff.

The employees of BIT.Group will be transferred to the itelligence Group. The founders and management team of BIT, Harry Schweickert, Henry Flack, Adrien Seidel, and Corina Weidmann, will continue their careers in senior positions at itelligence.
