Hosting provider GreenGeeks announced that it has started to deploy 100% RAID-10 SSD-based (Solid State Drives) servers which is an improvement from its previously SSD-cache based setup.
Kaumil Patel, Chief Operating Officer, GreenGeeks said:
We’re very excited for these improvements in our hosting platform.
We are investing a lot of resources and money into the development of next-generation hosting services that will greatly benefit the way our customers host their websites and do business online.
The company added that shared and reseller hosting servers will come default with PHP7, improvements in real-time security monitoring, ability to scale resources (I/O, Memory and CPU) along with various other optimizations. The improvement comes as part of the initial stages of the company’s plan to provide powerful web hosting solutions while simplifying the way its customers deploy and manage their websites.
GreenGeeks has said that all new customers will automatically be placed onto the new platform and a transition plan has been put in place to migrate existing customers to the new platform.
