Snow Software have launched a cloud solutions ‘Snow for Cloud’ to provide IT decision makers with visibility over SaaS environments. With this product, IT leaders will be able to identify and manage spends on cloud applications and services.

According to Snow Software, enterprises are leveraging cloud technology in a bid to better their performance. They also say that the adoption rate of the cloud has been on the rise year-on-year.

However, Snow Software claim that IT leaders do not have complete visibility over their SaaS environments. They also believe that this lack of clarity adds to costs for their organizations.

Speaking about their intent to launch this product, Snow Software say that ‘Snow for Cloud’ will allow decision makers to understand which sections of their organization need moderation and alignment with respect to cost when it comes to SaaS and cloud applications.

Explaining the problem faced by IT leaders in detail, Peter Björkman, CTO at Snow Software, commented:

Many organizations have gone beyond cloud-first and are now cloud only. Cloud computing has become the new normal. Business units can now deploy SaaS solutions without the involvement of IT.

This leaves IT without visibility or control of their SaaS environment and uncertainty as to what is being used, where and by whom. This is creating a Disruption Gap, a gulf between what IT understands about technology usage and what is actually occurring.

Snow Software say that the deep analytics and insights given by the product will allow decision makers to identify loopholes quickly. Explaining the same, Björkman added:

Snow empowers IT leaders to identify wasted cloud spend, optimize SaaS applications and accurately manage cloud costs. This insight enables them to become enablers of business goals and the go-to for digital transformation initiatives, essential if they are to succeed in the digital era.
