With this expansion, DataBank will extend 25,000 sq.feet of space to make it 50,000 sq.feet of a facility in order to meet the demand for data center services.

According to DataBank, Kansas City Market is buzzing with the need for cloud-based data center services. They also say that the province has potential to grow given the growing rate of adoption of cloud services.

DataBank say that this data center is their 15th in totality and 3rd in Kansas. They also say that the facility will be redeveloped as per Tier-3 standards and go live with six fiber providers.

Speaking about the expansion, Raul K. Martynek, CEO of DataBank, commented:

Kansas City continues to be a great market for critical infrastructure, and this third data center demonstrates the confidence we have in this strategic Tier 2 edge market. The new KC3 facility complements our existing footprint of Midwestern data centers and provides our customers and new prospects additional inventory for growth.

In closing, DataBank said that their customers can also avail on-site amenities such as office workspace, presentation rooms, client labs in addition to the data center services.
