New gTLD company  .CLUB has launched Names.Club, a marketplace featuring brandable domain names for businesses. With this launch, .CLUB will be offering new domain extensions such as .CLUB, .SHOP, .MIAMI, .FIT etc.

According to the .CLUB domain registry, the Names.Club marketplace was launched at the NamesCon domain name conference that took place in Las Vegas, U.S.A this January. They further added that Names.Club will replace Get.Club that was launched last year at the same conference event.

Explaining the importance of brandable premium names, the .CLUB registry explained that businesses are looking for avenues to brand themselves through relevant domain names. They further added that with newer businesses entering the market, providing apt domain names that click with the nature of the business becomes critical. Explaining this, Colin Campbell, CEO of .CLUB registry stated:

With the introduction of new top-level domains, businesses can find a meaningful keyword or exact match domain, instead of misspelling or making up words. With Names.club we’re expanding our proven platform to include a wider choice of great names for entrepreneurs looking to build a great brand, and we’re honored to already have important partners lined up, like our friends at GMO (.SHOP) and MMX (.MIAMI,.FIT etc.).

Industry experts opine that the easy registration process provided by Names.Club is likely to garner a positive response. It will be interesting to watch the turn of events for businesses and .CLUB alike with the advent of this new gTLD marketplace.
