The partnership will address PKI, IoT and blockchain needs of financial institutions, corporates, regulators and governments.
Security and IoT platform provider WISeKey have partnered with Censof Holdings’ SBU Cendee to deploy the former’s vertical cybersecurity platform. As per the terms of the deal, WISeKey and Censof will establish a Center of Excellence (CoE) in Malaysia to address PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), IoT and blockchain opportunities.
According to WISeKey, government enterprises, corporates and financial institutions face myriad cybersecurity challenges on a day-to-day basis. These challenges, WISeKey say, need to be curbed since the data stored at these organizations and enterprises is sensitive in nature.
WISeKey claim that they identified blockchain, IoT and PKI as some routes that can help enterprises address cybersecurity issues. They believe that this approach will enable enterprises to prioritise projects that need immediate attention.
By partnering with Censof, WISeKey say that they they will be establishing a CoE to provide financial companies, select government agencies, regulators and corporates with blockchain, IoT and PKI solutions for cybersecurity. They say that this alliance will also expand Censof’s capabilities and diversify their range of offerings.
To support this initiative, WISeKey say that they have partnered with several agencies and experts in the industry to imbibe the most relevant practices. They also say that the alliance will expand this CoE across various markets like India, China, Latin America, U.S. and Africa.
It will be interesting to see how this alliance takes shape and form in various markets, following Intel and Tech Mahindra’s partnership to build CoEs across India and the US.
