Cloud giant Alibaba have struck deals with tech giant Siemens and Bolloré logistics to boost IoT (Internet of Things) as well as cloud capabilities. With these partnership deals, Alibaba will be accelerating the adoption of cloud and IoT products to fortify their standing in the global market.
According to Alibaba, the demand for cloud as well as IoT products is on the rise across various industries as a result of its flexible technology. They believe that the myriad applications of both cloud, as well as IoT, make them a perfect fit to cater to different IT needs.
By partnering with Siemens, Alibaba say that they will be leveraging the former’s cloud-based analytics and connectivity portal MindSphere to support China’s manufacturing upgrade, transformation and other industrial internet initiatives. Speaking about this deal, Joe Kaeser, President and CEO of Siemens AG, commented:

As far as their partnership with Bolloré is concerned, Alibaba say that they have agreed to share best practices, market knowledge and collaborate on cloud-based, and data software projects. They say that Alibaba will be leveraging their logistics network Cainiao, to push their e-Commerce goals jointly with Bolloré.
