Afilias replaces Neustar to provide registry services for .AU ccTLD

The contract signed will see the management of 3 million .AU domain names transferred to Afilias.

Australian company Afilias have replaced Neustar as the domain registry to provide services in support of Australia’s .AU ccTLD (country code Top Level Domain) from 1st July 2018. With this selection, Afilias say that they will be able to further instill trust within the .AU domain community by providing reliability, confidentiality and security of available data.

Afilias says that according to the contract signed between them and .AUDA (.AU Domain Administration Limited), they will establish primary and backup registry operations in Australia. They further added that they will be moving their office to Melbourne to provide 24×7 Services to registrars by working closely with .auDA. Lauding the range of support provided by Afilias, Cameron Boardman, CEO at .AUDA said:

As of now, Afilias supports 13 other ccTLDs which includes .IN (India) as well. This .IN ccTLD has crossed over 2 million domain names till date.
