Cloud service provider Cloudinary have integrated their end-to-end media management solution with Salesforce’s Commerce Cloud to help the latter optimize and manage their digital assets. With this move, Cloudinary aims to help Salesforce deliver better shopping experiences for deployers of Commerce Cloud.
Salesforce claim that Commerce Cloud allows businesses to interact with customers over any channel or device. They say that this service allows customers to have a personalised shopping experience, thanks to the rich media that is used to entice the customers on the cloud platform.
According to Salesforce, the addition of rich media in the form of images and videos can negatively affect the conversion rates of customers on the product page if they are not optimized properly. Hence, to overcome this obstacle, Salesforce claim that they needed an optimization tool that will compress digital assets without affecting the experience of their customers on Commerce Cloud.
By partnering with Cloudinary, Saleforce say that users can easily upload a simplified version of each digital asset to deliver a great shopping journey across all devices, platforms and browsers. Explaining this Mike Wolff, Senior Vice President, Global ISV Partners, Salesforce, commented:
Creating personalized, omnichannel experiences is more important than ever for brands.
By leveraging the power of Commerce Cloud and the new integration from Cloudinary, customers will now be able to deliver an improved and optimized shopping experience.
Cloudiary believe that for a cloud service provider to deliver a great shopping experience, understanding all customer touch-points across a variety of digital assets is necessary.
Daniel Amitai, Vice President, Business Development at Cloudinary, commented:
We wanted to think beyond conventional flows of product-to-online production to provide an additional dynamic layer that helps Commerce Cloud customers manage and automate media processes, while easily connecting to their other media workflows.
We are thrilled to collaborate with Salesforce and look forward to delivering additional capabilities in the months ahead.
