According to AWS, APAC’s rise in the IT infrastructure segment is phenomenal because of the quick adoption of cloud services. They claim that with cloud playing a key role in enterprise IT strategies, startups in the region are enticed by the same because of the low-cost provided by cloud facilitators.
By partnering with MOEA, AWS believe that they will be able to cultivate companies with the potential to become unicorns and help enterprises venture into overseas markets. They further added that with their jointly-built innovation center, both entities will help companies make the most of their cloud strategies to scale massively.
MOEA claim that the 59,382 square-meter innovation center will be built with state-of-the-art facilities and designed to serve as a multi-functional campus. They say that the facility will establish Taipei as a
Market experts believe that this partnership will be a boon for not only Taipei but its neighbouring countries like Japan, China and The Philippines. It will be interesting to see how AWS take this alliance forward after launching an innovation center in China for big data and cloud.
