Oracle have announced that the UK customers will be benefitting with enhanced cloud infrastructure as they lay their expansion plans for Europe. With this expansion, Oracle say that they will be providing high-performance cloud-based services to support public, private and hybrid cloud environments.

According to Oracle, the demand for cloud-based data centers is on the rise in Asian, American as well as European markets. In a bid to meet this demand, Oracle say that they announced an expansion plan to build 12 data centers for these markets.

On choosing UK as a spot to expand their plans, Oracle say that the UK serves as a strategic point which eliminates the complexities of shifting to the cloud for many organizations. Moreover, it also allows organizations to create hybrid environments for their cloud infrastructure.

Oracle say that their ‘UK Region’ for cloud will elevate the offerings for cloud-native customers. Gareth Williams, CEO of YellowDog, an open-source operating system, commented:

YellowDog’s aim is to provide our customers with super-fast, super-secure and high availability cloud rendering services.

We’ve been making use of Oracle’s EU Cloud Region, but with the availability of the new UK Region, and the low latency it offers to our customers in the UK, it will allow us to offer something different and compelling in the market and allow us to continue to accelerate our growth.

In closing, Oracle said that they are looking forward to the completion of the data center projects and acquiring clients across different markets.
