IT and cloud service provider Rackspace have acquired IT consulting company RelationEdge in a bid to broaden their portfolio. With this acquisition, Rackspace will add more SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) applications to their portfolio.
Rackspace say that RelationEdge has been a SaaS partner with Salesforce for years and has enabled many organizations with IT implementation. They also believe that there is much demand in the market for managed SaaS services from small as well as large enterprises.
With this acquisition, Rackspace believe they will be able to accelerate their growth in the SaaS applications and services space. They also say that they are very keen on keeping this momentum of acquiring organizations after acquiring TriCore to expand application management offerings.
Speaking about this acquisition, Gerard Brossard, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Rackspace Application Services, commented:
