Private equity firm Blackstone buys Cloudreach

The firm has acquired a majority stake in the cloud solutions company Cloudreach

This week, private equity firm Blackstone acquired cloud solutions provider Cloudreach for an undisclosed sum.

Cloudreach, based in London was founded in 2009 and has operations in several countries and clients including travel booking sites Skyscanner and Trainline. The companies announced that Pontus Noren, Co-founder of Cloudreach, will be CEO of the business and Dave Johnson, a Senior Adviser to Blackstone, will become Chairman.

Cloudreach said on its blog that the companies will together build a software-enabled cloud services provider that will help organizations adopt cloud at scale by providing end-to-end capabilities.
