Japan’s Kobe and Canada’s Montreal have been selected by The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICAAN) as the cities in which the organization plans to conduct their 64th and 66th public meetings respectively. Both meetings are scheduled to take place in 2019.
ICAAN holds three public meetings every year in different locations across the globe, with Johannesburg and Copenhagen playing host to this year’s editions.
Kobe, Japan has been selected as the location in the Asia Pacific region to host ICANN’s 64th Public Meeting. The meeting is scheduled to be held from 9-14 March 2019 and will be hosted by the Japan Network Information Center.
Montreal, Canada has been selected as the location in the North America region to host ICANN’s 66thPublic Meeting. The meeting will be held from 2-8 November 2019 and will be hosted by Montreal Cyberjustice Laboratory.
The purpose of these meetings is to progress policy work, conducting outreach, exchanging best practices, conducting business deals, learning about ICAAN and interacting with other members of the ICAAN community, board and organization.
