This week, Microsoft officially announced the availability of the Azure “Pay-As-You-Go” payment plan in India. India therefore got added to the list of 139 other countries that have made the plan available. Indian Microsoft Azure users can now use the ‘Pay-As-You-Go’ option across their data centers.
The Azure platform comes with about $180 (₹12,100) free credit, which can be used in a number of ways, including provisioning for virtual machines, SQL databases, or 8 terabytes of storage for an entire month. The users have the option of using the credit to build web, mobile and API applications.
The company claims that the new system allows customers to pay for only what they use, based on per-minute billing. They also state that there are no added costs and no termination fees, which means that the customers do not have to abide by any contracts.
There are approximately 107 data center providers across India, including twenty in Mumbai and nineteen in Bangalore. Microsoft operates three data centers in Chennai, Mumbai and Pune.
