Juniper and Dicker data sign distribution deal

Alliance will target small-medium Australian businesses by leveraging Dicker’s wide network.

Australian company Dicker Data has signed on the dotted line with American company Juniper Networks to expand the latter’s product portfolio and reach in Australia. Juniper say that through Dicker’s distribution expertise, they will be able to target small & medium business segments of Australia.

With this deal, Dicker Data have gained access to Juniper’s networking, security and software-defined applications and solutions. It is also understood from Juniper that their distributor, Dicker Data, has trained sales and pre-sales staff to provide immediate service to their new partners.

Showing delight on the alliance, David Dicker, CEO of Dicker Data said:

I’m pleased to be announcing our new relationship with Juniper in Australia. Juniper Networks is known globally for their expertise in the networking and security industry and we’re looking forward to working with them to further grow their already substantial presence in the enterprise and mid-market segments.

Juniper say that this is their fourth alliance in the form of a distribution partner to diversify their market; the other three being Westcon, Tech Data and Avnet.

Reflecting on the deal, Ralph Candiloro, Regional Vice President for Juniper Networks Australia said:

Recently, Dicker Data were appointed as distribution partners for Hewlett Packard in New Zealand. The alliance reinforces the on-going partnership trend in the data center industry for market diversification.
