Interxion and Scale expand data centers in Europe and USA respectively

The expansion seeks to provide services to various customer segments that have recognized the need for data center support.

Data center service providers Interxion and Scale Computing have expanded their services in Europe and the U.S. respectively. With this expansion, both companies aim to provide services to various customer segments in a bid to expand their data center footprint.

Interxion claim that to meet customer demands, they will be expanding their Amsterdam and Frankfurt campuses in The Netherlands and Germany. In addition to this, they also say that Interxion are experiencing a rise in demand for data center services from various markets.

According to Interxion, customers are understanding the value of data centers to support mission-critical applications. Speaking about the expansion, David Ruberg, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Interxion, commented:

Interxion is continuing to see a strong flow of opportunities across markets and customer segments and we are increasing our expansion program to address this demand.

Customers are recognizing the value of our communities of interest and our trusted provider status for their mission-critical applications.

We are capturing deals from multiple customer segments, including connectivity, digital media, cloud platforms and enterprises, and across the size spectrum.

Parallely, Scale Computing have also expanded their data center prowess by entering into a distribution agreement with Ingram Micro. As per the terms of the agreement, Scale Computing plan to expand their data center presence in order to provide services to resellers across North America.

According to Scale, this opportunity will allow them to build a stronger ecosystem through North America. They also say that they will leverage their network in Canada to accelerate this opportunity.

Speaking about the expansion in detail, Scott Mann, director of North American channel, Scale Computing said:
