Hostway chooses Digital Realty as a partner for cloud expansion

The partnership is geared to expand Hostway’s cloud portfolio through Digital Realty’s global data center network.

Telecom giant

Cloud hosting services deployer Hostway has selected data center provider Digital Realty as their data center partner for global expansion. With this alliance, Hostway will provide its own clients with secure and direct access to multiple cloud providers like AWS, Azure, and Google.

Hostway said that Digital Realty’s large number of enterprise customers and worldwide connectivity to cloud centers will expand their cloud portfolio in terms of breadth and distribution. They further added that with this partnership, they will be able to scale more effectively by aggregating traffic from multiple customers over a single connection.

Reflecting on the alliance, Emil Sayegh, CEO and President of Hostway said:

We view Digital Realty as a global platform with locations all around the world that we can leverage our growth. Our clients have very specific requirements to comply with various regulations and we can always depend on Digital Realty to help us meet and exceed those. Additionally, the Digital Realty Service Exchange offers an unparalleled, extensive list of public cloud providers that is unmatched elsewhere in the market.

Appreciating Sayegh’s thoughts on the partnership, Sherri Liebo, SVP Marketing at Digital Realty commented:

Hostway’s experience in conducting cloud migrations with zero downtime for such a wide range of customers and applications is impressive. We are delighted that Hostway has selected Digital Realty for its ongoing expansion and look forward to working closely with Hostway and its customers to ensure their business needs are met.

According to sources, this partnership came into being after both parties, Hostway and Digital Realty, realized the role played by automated networks in reducing manual efforts and accelerating enterprise adaptability to cloud services. Sources also said that these services will be made available to Hostway’s current clientele who are executing hybrid IT strategies that balance on-premise infrastructure, colocation, and public cloud environments.
