Reports say that the energy efficient building is under construction and is likely to be completed by the end of this financial year. Apart from data center, the 25,000 sq.ft. area of the building will house an incubation center for medium, small and micro enterprises (MSMEs) and would attract software companies from all over the country.
Officials at Ranchi STPI said :

Reports say that the building is being constructed at an estimated expense of around $12 million (Rs.80 Cr) and it will be first of its kind data center in Eastern India meeting the international IT standards. In order to ensure safety of data, the building meets high fire safety standards and provides an underground cooling system.
An STPI official said that 4.9 mt. high space of the data storage region would have a cooling system fitted on the floor instead of the roof to ensure maximum energy efficiency and cooling.
SK Rai, Assistant Director at STPI Ranchi said :
As of now 300-350 seats have been occupied at the STPI center here by various companies working in the IT sector.
