Google to launch .PAGE sunrise period on 27th August

Tech giant Google have announced that they will be launching the sunrise period for the .PAGE TLD (top-level domain) on 27th August 2018. With this launch, Google seeks to cater to businesses, entrepreneurs, publishers and developers who want to create a website in order to boost their online presence.

According to Google, businesses and enterprises are looking for different ways to boost their presence on the internet. This need has come into the picture in spite of organizations having a dedicated website to showcase the company’s products and clientele.

By launching the .PAGE TLD, Google believe that they will be giving the entrepreneurial and business segment a new platform to promote themselves so as to win the trust of their potential customers. They say that with this domain, they will help this segment to build a simple and more secure online presence.

Google say that the sunrise period for .PAGE will begin from 27th August through 2nd September where trademark holders who have submitted their trademark to the Trademark Clearinghouse can register .PAGE domains. They also added that the early access period for the same will begin from 2nd October and go on till 9th October, post which general availability will begin.

In closing, the tech giant added that claims period will run indefinitely, during which trademark owners shall receive notifications when their marks are registered as domains.
