This week, Digital Bridge, a data center investor has agreed to acquire Vantage Data Centers from Silver Lake Partners. The deal was reportedly closed for over $1 billion, including debt.
As reported by Reuters, the deal will be announced once it closes as the matter is not public and both companies have been unavailable for comment.
The acquisition of Vantage Data Centers, when completed, will mark the second acquisition of a data center company by Digital Bridge after DataBank.
In July last year, Digital Bridge entered the data center market with the acquisition of DataBank from private equity firm Avista Capital Partners. Last year, DataBank went on to acquire C7 Data Centers.
