Talend have expanded their cloud data infrastructure in the APAC (Asia Pacific) region by adding new infrastructure to meet the rising cloud needs in the market. With this expansion, Talend will be enabling enterprises in the region to leverage data value while meeting strict local data residency, privacy and scalability requirements.
According to Talend, customers need better cloud-based infrastructure to improve their operational efficiencies, increasing data availability and cost reduction. They say that these requirements are consistent for customers deploying the cloud, hybrid as well as on-premise environments.
By adding new cloud data infrastructure in APAC, Talend believe that they will enable customer adoption of high-volume data, real-time advanced analytics, data lakes, data warehouses and self-service applications. They also claim that Talend will implement data solutions at a local level to comply with new data policies and regulations in order to boost cloud data adoption.
Ciaran Dynes, SVP Products, Talend, commented:
Our expansion in APAC reinforces our commitment to supporting customers wherever they operate around the world. We see strong customer interest in data lakes, analytics and machine learning on AWS, and building Talend Cloud on AWS allows us to address demand around the world.
Speaking about the benefits that come with this expansion, Talend added that they will:
1) Better local performance for enterprises via higher throughput and lower latency,
2) Improve data security and proximity by maintaining data stability within the region, and
3) Reduce compliance and operational risks which are critical elements for enterprises to maintain industry standards.
In addition to this, Talend say that they will continue to put more data at work by increasing their availability, quality and time to draw actionable insights through iPaas services. Industry analysts opine that the iPaas market will see newer and better trends in the cloud and data industry after this move and the acquisition of Built.io by SoftwareAG.
