Telecom company Celcom Axiata have entered into a partnership with Huawei Technologies to fast-track the automation and intelligence function for their networks. According to the terms of the deal, Celcom will be making the most out of Huawei’s cloud-based SaaS platform to enhance their capabilities while managing complex networks.
Celcom say that internet and mobile penetration in the APAC (Asia Pacific) region has put tremendous pressure on telecom providers to meet high connectivity and network demands. They claim that in spite of integrating automation services into networks to ease the load on telecom infrastructure, complexities still remain when it comes to streamlining connectivity.
By partnering with Huawei Technologies, Celcom believe that they will reduce the burden of managing these networks by relying on the former’s SaaS platform. They say that accelerating automation and network intelligence will become possible, only to provide customers with widespread network connectivity.
Huawei say that this alliance will allow them to access Celcom’s global customers. Speaking about the partnership, Amandeep Singh, CTO at Celcom Axiata, commented:
We will constantly continue the evolution of our network with the latest technologies to bring an awesome experience for Malaysians. It is critical that we explore the capabilities of new generation technology with global partners like Huawei.
