Hybrid cloud data protection provider Acronis have entered into a partnership with Google Cloud to extend their access to public cloud capabilities. According to the terms of this alliance, Acronis will be integrating Google Cloud Platform into Acronis’ backup, disaster recovery and file sync-share solutions.
According to Acronis, businesses are investing heavily in the public cloud infrastructure and maintaining its security is becoming increasingly important. Speaking about the benefit Google Cloud will provide, Acronis claim that they will be able to help users reduce their recovery time objectives in a bid to achieve SLA (Service Level Agreement) targets.
Explaining about the alliance, John Zanni, President at Acronis, commented:

As per Acronis, the partnership is a logical step in reinforcing their mission of providing data protection solutions for businesses. They also say that this partnership will pave the way for Google to penetrate the SMB market further.
