The .ASIA domain extension, which completes 10 years this year, has made a significant change to its charter that massively expands its potential market going forward.
As it stands, all registrations of .ASIA domains require the customer to provide regional contact or ID (an address located within the Asian continent) before the registration occurs. This has meant losing out on potential customers outside Asia who did not possess an Asian address.
This situation will change on July 15 when the new Charter Eligibility Requirement Policies go into effect. The new policy eliminates the need for local Asian contacts, thereby making it accessible to customers around the planet.
