Verizon and Equinix partner for co-location and interconnection services

Through the agreement, Verizon will resell Equinix’s co-location and interconnection services around the globe

Equinix, the global interconnection and data center company has announced that Verizon has agreed to resell Equinix’s co-location and interconnection services.

Equinix says that the reseller agreement enables Verizon to pair co-location and interconnection services in Equinix International Business Exchange (IBX) data centers around the globe with Verizon’s security, network and communications services.

Jim Duncan, VP of Global Advanced Solutions, Verizon said:

This agreement provides customers with fully-integrated network, security and data center services designed to support their IT transformation.

Our network provides IT continuity across current and future IT strategies – cloud migrations and the like – and Equinix provides an interconnection point to leading cloud platforms for that transformation.

The companies say that the move will enable enterprises to build hybrid cloud solutions and gain quick access to a multi-cloud environment.
