VADS Berhad is launching a new data center which will be located in Nusajaya in southern Malaysia. This data center will be supported by a secondary facility at a distance of 320 km in Cyberjaya.
The primary data center in Nusajaya will comprise of 90,000 sq ft, certified Tier III white space and is expected to be completed early next year. The secondary facility is however expected to commence later this year.
The two data centers will be linked by 100G high-speed fiber optic cable as part of the “twin core” strategy. This will allow active redundancy in both centers which the company claims will prevent service interruptions.
Edwin Ng, General Manager for Data Center Services at VADS, says :
We have spent a tremendous amount of time and investment to ensure that resiliency is guaranteed at these facilities.
Also from a connectivity standpoint, we have invested heavily in multiple diverse paths.
Massimo Migliuolo, CEO of VADS, adds that the two data centers are built to stringent security standards and globally recognized industry certification.
