A month after expanding their facility in New York, data center provider TierPoint have launched their fourth data center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. With this launch, TierPoint aim to meet market demand for cloud, co-location and disaster recovery services.
TierPoint say that they have identified the need for hybrid IT solutions in an expanding data center market in the U.S. Since businesses are looking to go beyond cloud and co-location services, TierPoint say that setting up a modular facility that serves the purpose was imperative.
According to TierPoint, the new facility launched boasts an investment of USD 20M and 16,000 sq.feet area with space available for further expansion. They also claim that the newly launched data center has caught the attention of local businesses.
Explaining this, Todd Currie, Vice President and General Manager at TierPoint, commented:
We have already begun to install clients and are currently negotiating with a couple of major institutions that have shown interest in the facility.
TierPoint claim that reasonable land prices, easy access to power stations and growing interest of customers in edge technology have made Oklahoma a preferred choice to build the data center. They also say that this facility is furnished with all the latest equipment set to meet necessary compliance standards.
In closing, TierPioint said that they have built this data center in partnership with Compass Data Centers to assemble a modular design.
