IT security provider Rapid7 have partnered with Microsoft to provide visibility, analytics and automation for cloud security. With this alliance, Rapid7 aims to protect hosting environments of their customers using Azure by integrating vulnerability and threat detection products InsightVM and InsightIDR into their hybrid cloud environments.
According to Rapid7, security teams must work across IT and DevOps to mitigate cyber-risks while maintaining system uptime and performance. They believe that with the increasing rate of public and private cloud adoption, organizations are making cloud security an area of major focus.
By integrating InsightVM and InsightIDR, Rapid7 claim that customers will be able to identify cyber risks in advance and take preventive action. They believe that through these products, Rapid7’s Azure deployers will also be able to support hybrid cloud environments to empower their IT and DevOps teams.
Speaking about the alliance, Lee Weiner, Chief Product Officer, at Rapid7, commented:
Our InsightVM and InsightIDR solutions are purpose-built for organizations investing in cloud infrastructures. And now by integrating with Microsoft Azure, we’re simplifying vulnerability management, attacker detection for hybrid environments, and agent deployment for our customers within the Azure infrastructure.
Adwait Joshi, Director Product Marketing, Azure security, Microsoft Corp. agrees with Weiner. He added:
It’s imperative that organizations have access to solutions that help prevent and detect attacks within their environments. We are excited to see Rapid7 make its solutions and security expertise available to Microsoft customers, providing them with increased visibility into security vulnerabilities and improving the overall security of their networks.
