Interxion, the European carrier and co-location data center services provider announced the construction of additional data centers in Frankfurt, London, and Stockholm. The company says that the move is in response to continued customer demand in the areas.
Interxion announced that will construct its twelfth data center on its Frankfurt campus (FRA12) which will provide approximately 1,100 sq.mt. of equipped space and a total of approximately 2 MW of customer available power. FRA12 will be constructed in a single phase that is scheduled to become available in the fourth quarter of 2017.
The company will build its third data center (LON3) on its Brick Lane campus in London which is expected to provide approximately 1,800 sq.mt. of equipped space and a total of approximately 3 MW of customer available power. LON3 will be constructed in a single phase that is scheduled to become available in mid-2018. The capital expenditure associated with LON3 is expected to be approximately €35 million.
In Stockholm, Interxion will construct its fifth data center (STO5) on its existing campus which is expected to provide approximately 2,200 sq.mt. of equipped space and a total of approximately 3.5 MW of customer available power when fully built out. STO5 will be constructed in three phases.
