AvePoint partners with Hitachi Data Systems; Fpweb.net introduces managed database service; .SHOP domains to be offered in a U.S. auction

AvePoint partners with Hitachi Data Systems
The companies claim to provide robust SharePoint storage management and efficiency

This week, AvePoint, the Microsoft Cloud provider, announced a local strategic partnership with Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) in Singapore. The company claims that the partnership will help Singaporean customers reduce total cost of ownership, backup time, and input/output operations per second (IOPS) requirements for Microsoft SharePoint.

AvePoint and Hitachi Data Systems will work together on DocAve Archiver and DocAve Storage Manager, which belong to the DocAve Software Platform.

Fpweb.net introduces managed database service
The company will offer managed database on-premises or in any cloud

This week, Fpweb.net, a managed IT services and cloud provider announced that it has added managed database service to its list of services.

The company says that the managed database offering is available on-premises, or in any cloud, with around-the-clock, USA-based support and a six-minute response service level agreement.

Fpweb announced that it will offer managed database as part of its managed services plan called Absolute Support, which provides 24/7 access to expertise.

 

.SHOP domains to be offered in the Namescon Premium Domain Auction
The extension will feature in a US auction for the first time 

This week, GMO Registry, announced that .SHOP gTLD is participating in the Premium Domain Auction hosted by RightOfTheDot, NameJet, and Namescon at the 2017 Namescon conference in Las Vegas this month.

Pre-bidding for the Namescon Premium Domain auction has already started on the NameJet website. The company announced that 125 domains will be featured in the Live auction on 23rd January, 2017 and about 400 domains will be featured in the online extended auction from 24th January to 9th February, 2017.

Launched in September 2016, .SHOP has sold more than 130,000 domain names.
