This week, Australia-based web hosting provider Digital Pacific announced its plans to acquire Anchor Hosting, one of Australia’s leading managed hosting providers.
The companies say that they will continue to trade under their respective brands.
Bart Thomas, CEO, Anchor said:
The acquisition by Digital Pacific gives us additional resources to build on our recent success in the areas of Managed Cloud and DevOps automation — services designed to assist organizations who are working to ‘digitally’ transform as they encounter disruption and increased competition in their industries.
Digital Pacific and Anchor have highly complementary skill-sets and this acquisition enables Anchor to continue doing what we do best – helping our customers succeed in the new software economy.
In 2015, Digital Pacific acquired Crucial and with the latest acquisition of Anchor, the three brands will collaborate to form one of the largest, Australia-based, hosting companies in the region. Digital Pacific says that the companies together deliver hosting and associated services, to more than 100,000 customers both in Australia and internationally.
Thomas added:
Anchor will continue to deliver managed hosting services for customers, utilising the most appropriate infrastructure technology to meet a customer’s needs.
There is a strong cultural fit for Anchor with Digital Pacific, and we’re very excited to be joining forces and finding new ways to deliver the greatest possible value to our customers.
