By offering cyber protection services through its artificial intelligence product Imunify360, CloudLinux has announced its alliance with Indonesian hosting company Dewaweb, with the objective of safeguarding Indonesian businesses from cyber crime. Imunify360 is an automated all-in-one security system with powerful machine learning technology to process insights collected from servers all over the world to keep systems protected from the latest attacks. With this partnership, Dewaweb has also agreed to become the first reseller of Imunify360 in Indonesia.

According to a report by CyberEdge Group, this partnership seeks to protect Indonesian businesses because of their high susceptibility to cyber threats. CyberEdge Group, a research and marketing consultancy, in its recent report shows an increase of cyber attacks from 76% in 2016 to 79% in 2017. The report further states that the main factors influencing attacks are low cyber security awareness, lack of qualified technical personnel and the huge quantum of data to be analyzed.

Edy Budiman, chief executive officer of Dewaweb stated that:

These factors can be minimized with the help of the automatic security system that we offer to our clients.

He further added that:

Cybersecurity is an important issue that cannot be ignored in this digital era, where all your important data are at risk of being hacked or your system being interrupted by hackers, especially in the Asia Pacific region of the world. We needed a smarter and a more comprehensive security system to protect our customers’ servers and Imunify360 by CloudLinux is a perfect choice. It’s easy to deploy, manage and monitor, saving us a great deal of time.

The idea of using artificial intelligence as a tool to curb cyber crime is a great counter attack. It would be interesting to see whether the rate of cyber in Indonesia dips in the years to come.
