Cloud applications firm Contegix have acquired Equip in a bid to position themselves as a single source provider of license management, hybrid cloud hosting and support for Atlassian products. With this acquisition, Contegix will expand their managed hosting services by fully deploying Atlassian tools to deliver a unique offering in the market.
According to Contegix, enterprises today need a wide range of cloud services to collaborate with employees, migrate their workloads, store business data and implement new products. They claim that by gaining access to different services, enterprises do not have to manage too many vendors at once or experience a vendor lock-in.
By acquiring Equip, the cloud applications provider believes that they will be able to position themselves as a one-stop-shop for all products provided by Atlassian. They also say that Contegix will help employees in enterprises set new efficiency benchmarks.
David Turner, CEO of Contegix, commented:
The acquisition of Equip now gives us the certified Atlassian expertise and experience to serve our customers through the full-stack and ongoing support of the Atlassian application.
This full stack of Atlassian offerings including license management, migration, implementation, and secure hosting allows Contegix to fully deploy Atlassian tools and deliver on our Go Beyond commitment to our customers.
Equip say that the acquisition process went smoothly since both organizations saw synergies in terms of vision, mission and goals and that they’re looking forward to joining the team at Contegix.
Mick Flanigan, Founder and CEO at Equip, commented:
I am extremely proud of what Equip has achieved, our culture and our commitment to our clients. Contegix shares our same vision and values, which made this combination a natural fit.
I am excited about the future and believe that collectively we will continue a legacy that will accelerate growth for our employees and clients.
It looks like the managed services market has gained momentum with this deal and the acquisition of ClearPointe by AccountabilIT.
